now, the problem with insulting your frens
on a regular basis and having fun doing it,
is that once in a while your frens does the
same thing to you. and the worst thing is,
they'll use literally ANYTHING against you.

i once went to the clinic and disagreed with my doctor.
why? i didn't feel the medication would help,
plus i did my own 'extensive' research online.

instead of arguing with me, the doctor just calmly said,
"...give this medicine a try, give it some time, and i
believe it will make you feel better in no time..."

and it did.

eventho i didn't want it to, because that would mean
all my bravado and my convictions were totally wrong,
and i was too embarrassed to admit it.

i learned that despite all my research, there is someone
else who has done far more, for far longer, and has
practiced medicine more than me. because my research
only covered a very small portion, therefore i didn't see
the bigger picture and the actual truth behind it.

so, if you have vindications about religion, put your
ego aside, take it forward to religious scholars, seek
the bigger picture and find the truth.

in the end, the doctor could've just dismissed me,
did what most people would do and say to me,
"...are you the doctor or am i?..."

but instead was nice enuff to see that i didn't know better.

specially when it isn't in-line with how you are or
how you view things in life.

for example, if the message is "don't be a fecking
lesbian", then of course you would disagree with it
if you are indeed a fecking lesbian.

but here's the thing, the essence of religion is faith,
and as much as you may want to find 'facts' to say
and to prove otherwise, we still believe in heaven.

religion is about guiding you to be a better person.
instead of thinking something is wrong with religion,
maybe there's something fecking wrong with YOU.

now, the problem with having a moral debate with me is,
truthfully, at times i have very questionable morals,
and because of that, i'll do whatever it takes to win.

doing good is always a positive thing.

like giving money to charity organizations,

help clean beaches or forests or parks,
and inviting your friends over for lunch.

you then feel a sense of happiness and warmth, right?

you’ve helped ease a financial burden,

you’ve helped preserve the environment,
and spending time with friends is a delight.

but imagine an alternative scenario where you HAD to.

minimum of a 100 bucks per month without fail,

or else you will be labeled as inconsiderate.
minimum of 10 beaches or forests or parks per month,
or else you will be fined by the department of forestation.
minimum of 4 outings with friends per month,
or else your friendship would be in question.

so now, the charity has become a financial burden to you,

you start to see environmental preservation as tiring,
and spending time with your friends has become a chore.

so why should we enforce these things

and make it negative and involuntary

when it’s a great thing to be done with an open heart?

...that’s the problem i have with religious enforcement.

i dunno about you, but i’d much prefer people to

practice religion or improve themselves on a voluntary,
open-hearted manner and not by force.

it pretty much means they offer you
a much faster connection as compared to 3G.
so it's been labeled as 4G.

which makes no sense to me because why offer something
which doesn't give you what it is intended to in the first place?

escapism is a fascinating subject.

some people exercise and do outdoor activities,
some turn to religion and faith,

you know, the one that is super violent?

some people who have tried out the ipad version,
commented that the game seeds violent behaviour
and indiscipline and criminal thoughts,
that it festers gun-totting youth and degrades the social
integrity and the overall safety of the public.

...that's the whole idea of the game, you see?

can any one of us honestly say that we have never had
violent thoughts and that overwhelming sensation
to just punch and shoot and run over others?

sure we do.

the point is, we don't do it in real life.
and to say that people who go around shooting others
in actual life is totally the game's fault?

utter rubbish.

first of all, no self-respecting gamer would be caught dead
trying out the "ipad version" of grand theft auto.
matter of fact, we don't try an ipad version of ANYTHING.

secondly, you don't have to be a gamer to display
real and actual life acts of random violence and anger.
have you ever driven around KL during peak hour?

and third, people ALWAYS fail to quote that the majority,
from millions and millions of gamers out there,
95% are normal, well-behaving and decent people.

it's because games are our way of escapism.
it helps us to release a lot of stress from the day,
and it provides us with a lot of fun as well.

to seek emotional release
through activity or medium.
see? that's what escapism is.

i'd like to see statistical facts that religious groups

but are made of people who are truly in it for god.

so they expect you to spend on the right path,
which basically means funding their shelter,
their canteen food, and their travel expenses.

oh, and don't forget to pick them up at the airport,
make sure your house turns into a damn hostel,
and take leave from work to join preaching trips.

here's a tip; GET A JOB.

accumulate a bit of wealth,
take care of your family and loved ones,
make sure you get your religious needs done,
then do whatever preaching you want in your free time,
and don't drag and EXPECT righteous help from others.

give religion the justice and appreciation it deserves.
